We chose Orchard Grove Residences for my mother because it looked very nice and comfortable, and everybody seemed very friendly. She has done exercise classes, and they have a TV area where the residents sit around if they don't want to stay in their room. She has a small apartment, but it's big enough that she can have some of her own furniture in there besides what was already in there. They provide a bed, a dresser, a wardrobe for her clothing, a rocking chair, a little table, and a TV. It's a really nice apartment, and the bathroom is quite large.

The Residence at Orchard Grove is a friendly neighborhood to be at, I do love the environment. The staff and residents work together as one team which makes it so comfortable. If you think this is your dream place to be then wait no more because you’ll be welcome to become part of this beautiful family. She has really done a great job with our move-in and our placement.

Services and Amenities of Orchard Grove Residences
Housing-with-care is a recent but natural evolution of retirement housing to provide an environment capable of enabling older people to maintain their independence even if they become physically or mentally frail. Before you are transferred to Orchard Grove you must first agree to rehabilitation and there will be an expectation for you to participate in goal setting, physiotherapy and assessment. In addition to gaining your consent, we will have liaised with the hospital you were in to make sure you are medically fit to come to Orchard Grove. The social events and activities at Orchard Grove will include cinema nights, visiting entertainers, keep fit, a variety of games and out-door activities and will be based on what residents want to do. Social workers said that the staff team is proactive in safeguarding children to minimise risk.
Others also provide nursing, and will have a nurse on duty twenty-four hours a day. My mom has been at the Residence at Orchard Grove for almost 7 months. She is memory impaired and in a wheelchair.

The facility director Ellen immediately addresses every question we've had. No matter what she always resolves an issue right away, even when she's on vacation!! All the staff treat the residents with lots of love and care, even an occasional grumpy resident 😉 it's truly a family and I'm so grateful for this experience. My mom deserves the best, OG has changed my her life in ways you can't imagine. It seems like when people come to The Residences at Orchard Grove they come because of the activities. It seems like they want the residents to just live their fullest life here, it does not feel institutional at all.
A nursing home is also known as skilled nursing facility . It meets any licensing or certification standards et forth by the jurisdiction where it is located. A skilled nursing facility may be a freestanding facility or part of a hospital that has been certified by Medicare to admit patients requiring subacute care and rehabilitation. Nursing homes provides non-acute medical and skilled nursing care services, therapy and social services under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse on a 24-hour basis.

Residents can eat in the full service restaurant ANYTIME from 7am to 7pm. If my mom wants shrimp scampi for breakfast, she has it! My mom lives in a small studio that's perfect for her and with a little creative decorating, it really feels like home for her.
Safety planning for one child has been particularly robust to ensure that the child, their peers and the staff team have been safeguarded effectively. Staff are vigilant in their practice and work consistently with the strategies set out in children’s individual support plans. The home environment has been refurbished to make it homely and modern. Children’s bedrooms are personalised nicely and reflect that the children are well cared for. They enjoy fun days out, including going to theme parks, and have completed, as a group, a 100-mile walk to raise money for charity.
There are activities, outings, and enrichment opportunities with art, music and exercise. Our family member is especially pleased with the food. The residents are as welcoming as the staff and our family member now has many wonderful new friends. I visited this facility We have chosen The Residence At Orchard Grove for my parents due to its size and the menu offerings. I have not tried the food, but I looked at it. Most things were included in the base price.
She's safe, medications are administered by the staff, they clean her apartment, do her personal laundry and bedding for her once per week and bathe her three times per week. As my mom has become more mobile & more independent, the assisted living costs were adjusted. The cost is expensive, but less costly than other similar facilities and you really get what you pay for.
My mom is in a wheelchair and needs some level of assistance 24 hours a day. She has vascular dementia but if she were not in a wheelchair could still function in traditional asssisted living. The Residence of Orchard Grove was the best decision I could have made for my mom.
I was not sure memory care in an Assisted Living setting would be enough care because she would forget she could not walk. After meeting with the Director of the Memory Care unit I decided to take a leap of faith. My mom had been at a nursing home for a time and I watched her literally loosing her mind.
